Academic integrity

We teach you how to do the work. We never do graded work for you.

Last updated September 18, 2026

Our position

Business Tutor exists to help you understand your courses. Everything we do is meant to fit within SFU's Student Academic Integrity Policy (S10.01). If a request would break that policy, the answer is no.

What we do

  • Explain concepts and methods until they make sense.
  • Work through practice problems, past examples and similar questions with you.
  • Show you how to structure an answer, a case analysis or a study plan.
  • Give feedback on your own thinking and point out where your reasoning goes wrong.

What we will not do

  • Complete, write or edit for submission any assignment, quiz, case, project or exam that counts toward your grade.
  • Provide answers to a graded assessment that is currently open.
  • Help during a test, midterm or final, in person or online.
  • Share or accept exam papers, solution keys or other materials that an instructor has not released to students.
  • Sit an assessment or log in as you.

Graded work in a session

If you bring a graded assignment, your tutor will teach the underlying method using a different example, then leave you to apply it yourself. Group work follows the collaboration rules your instructor set, so please tell your tutor what those are.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for the work you hand in and for knowing your course's rules, including its rules on AI tools and collaboration. When in doubt, ask your instructor first.

Our tutors

Every tutor agrees to this policy before taking a student. A tutor who breaks it is removed. If you ever feel a tutor crossed the line, tell us.
